OOTD

Today I went to my school's 'leavers assembly' where the dress code was smart casual, so I thought I'd share what I wore to give you ideas on what to wear to a smart casual event

~ The whole outfit (I apologise for my odd expression in this picture, oh dear) ~

~ Outfit from the back ~

~ Black top, lace shorts, silver necklace ~

~ My first ever pair of heeled shoes which I only bought last week! (I've always been kinda tall so I never bothered buying any, but I saw these in River Island and just had to get them!!) ~

~ All the makeup I wore: ~
~Foundation - Rimmel Match Perfection (010 Light Porcelain) ~
~ Concealer - Rimmel Wake Me Up ~
~ Eyeliner -Rimmel Exaggerate ~
~ Mascara - Maybelline Falsies ~
~ Lipstick - MAC Pure Zen ~

~ Perfume - Guilty by Gucci ~
I was also planning to wear my asos oversized denim jacket to make the outfit slightly more casual but it was actually really warm today, so I didn't need to! I also forgot to take a photo of the nail varnish, however it was Tidal from Topshop (one of my most worn shades!) which was just a pale greyish blue to match the denim jacket I was planning to wear.
Shorts - River Island
Top - (it's my mum's top which she got years ago, so I'm not entirely sure where from, although the label says 'Richards' It's just a simple, black chiffon top though, I'm sure there's plenty around!)
Necklace - Bijou Bridgette
Shoes - River Island

This is my first outfit of the day so let me know what you think and if you'd like me to do anymore! Thanks for reading and remember to follow me on bloglovin if you enjoyed it or any of my other posts (link in the sidebar)

Liebster Award

I was tagged by Lorilee to take part in the Liebster award which is a way of discovering new bloggers and getting to know them by asking them to answer questions. The rules of the Liebster award are as follows:

  • Each nominee should answer the 11 questions by the tagger.
  • Choose 11 bloggers with under 200 followers to pass the award to and link them in your post.
  • Create 11 new questions for the chosen bloggers.
  • Go to their page and tell them about their nomination.
  • No tag backs!
The questions Lorilee asked me to answer:

1. If you had to choose between a dream job far away or a rubbish job close to your family what would it be?
Although I'm really close to my family, I'd have to choose the dream job far away. I always believe in taking opportunities when you can and I'd hate to look back on my life and wish I'd taken the chance when I had it.

2. Shoes or clothes?
I'm definitely more of a clothes person, although I have recently begun to buy a lot more shoes as well. I'm way more versatile with my clothes whereas with shoes I pretty much live in my vans/converse.

3. Reading blogs or watching YouTube?
I really enjoy both, although at the moment I'd have to say watching youtube, just cause I love watching vlogs from people such as Marcus Butler, danisnotonfire, Zoella and Kingsley and few more less well known ones such as Nicole Grace and ibethialex. But I always enjoy reading blogs too!

4. If you could live in any country where would it be?
For my whole life I've wanted to live in Australia however now that I'm older I'm starting to see all the cons - too far away from family and my pale skin would not mix well with the sun. So I'm not sure anymore. I'd love to live in Ireland just cause I love irish accents and I'd also love to live in New York as I went there last year and loved it so much!

5. Favourite colour?
MINT GREEN!!

6. What is your favourite topic to blog about?
I haven't had my blog long so I'm not really sure yet, I'm still exploring all the things I have to blog about!

7. Nail polish or moisturiser?
These seem like two totally different things, so I'm not sure! I guess nail polish is a lot easier to live without; moisturiser is more of an essential so I'd have to go with moisturiser.

8. What is your favourite season?
Without a doubt, it's summer! I'm a shorts-and-baggy-top type of person and I can only really wear this in summer as I'd freeze to death in the winter/autumn and spring is never really hot where I live!

9. Blog everyday or tweet everyday?
At the moment I tend to blog a few times a week and I've been tweeting every day since I got twitter! I'm on something like my  16,000th tweet but this is only my 8th blog post! I've really enjoyed blogging since I started though so I hope to continue blogging a few times a week!

10. Handbag or rucksack?
Handbag Handbag Handbag! I've always had some weird thing against rucksacks so I've never owned one in my life. I don't know what it is about them, I just really dislike wearing them and I think handbags look a lot nicer anyway.

11.  Films or television?
I do enjoy both but at the moment it's TV as I'm obsessed with reality shows! My all-time favourite programmes are Outnumbered, New Girl and Miranda (which is apparently being made into a film!) And at the moment I'm in the middle of a Made In Chelsea marathon and the new series of Big Brother has begun which I watch daily!
Also, my favourite band - The Wanted - have a new show called The Wanted Life which I have been looking for online for weeks now as its only shown on a Sky channel which I don't have.  Last night however, I finally found a whole episode which I watched and I'll definitely be watching the rest of the series asap!
The blogs I am nominating are:
1.  Abby from One Dollar Milkshake
2. Daisy Alice from I am Daisy Alice
3.  Heather from HeatherESweet
4.  Michelle from Beauty Life Michelle
5.  Jode from A La Jode
6. Olivia from Olivia's Word
7. Sara from Crime of Fashion
8. Amy from Raving in Denim
9. Melissa from MelissaPCooper
10. Chloe from Skinny Jeans
11. Molly from What Molly Loves
Your part (answer these questions on your blog as well as nominating 11 more blogs)
1) Who is your style icon?
2) Short hair or long hair?

3) Favourite perfume?

4) What colour do you wear the most?

5) French manicure or coloured nails?

6) Favourite magazine?

7) Do you prefer to save money or to spend it straight away?

8) Vans or Converse? (or neither!)

9) How many countries have you been to and what are they?

10) Given £20 what would you buy with it?

11) What are you wearing right now?

I look forward to reading your answers!:)

Summer Playlist

In a desperate attempt to continue kidding myself that it's summer - isn't it about time the wind and rain gave us a break?! - I decided to update my summer playlist in preparation for any hint of sunshine. Being the summer solstice a few days ago, I had my fingers crossed in the hope of going outside wearing shorts and blasting out my summer songs; but with an appearance from the sun becoming less likely than Amanda Bynes' sanity being restored, it may be a while until I can do so.

Most of my year is spent listening to bands/singers such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Wanted, Mumford & Sons and Ellie Goulding and basically anything acoustic which this list does not represent at all, as for some reason my taste dramatically changes in summer and I suddenly enjoy all the cringey chart type songs. Honest it's not always like this!
My ipod's summer playlist consists of around 60 songs and I tried whittling it down to my top ten but failed as theres so many I love and wanted to include. So, in order, here are my top 18 instead (as I always say anyway; the more the merrier!):

18) Glad You Came - The Wanted

The video for it is just as summery as the song - it was filmed in Ibiza! and fun fact: it's the only song I can play on the keyboard

17) 22 - Taylor Swift

I know I said my taste changes dramatically in the summer, but theres got to be a bit of Taylor in there!

16) Summertime In The City - Scouting For Girls

To be fair most of their songs have a summery vibe, but this one is definitely all about summer!

15) Paradise - Coldplay

PARA PARAAA, PARADISE - I know it's been extremely overplayed but you're lying if you say you don't love this song!

14) What A Night - Loveable Rogues

Quite a new song from some new artists, but I'm already obsessed! Definately check them out if you haven't already!

13) She Moves In Her Own Way - The Kooks

This is one of those songs that you recognise but have no idea where from?!

12) Fall - Justin Bieber

One of his less well-known songs - I'm no belieber (promise!) but this song is so catchy and perfect for blasting out loud!

11) California Girls - Katy Perry

Well it's about California so of course it had to be on the list!

10) Chasing The Sun - The Wanted

~ Chasing The Sun symbol (pic from google) ~
I spent most of last summer tattooing (well, biro pen-ing) the sun symbol from the music video onto my hands..my arms..my feet, all over really

9) You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift

SHE WEARS SHORT SKIRTS, I WEAR T-SHIRTS - with lyrics even catchier than conjunctivitis, this song had to be number 9

8) Club Can't Handle Me - Flo Rida

Ok this song dates back to summer 2010 when I shamefully enjoyed the charty, rappy type music so it brings back many memories of my holiday in Spain which is why it's so high on the list.

7) Missing You - The Saturdays

Again, this is one of those charty summer 2010 songs that has embarrassingly stuck with me..

6) We Are Never Getting Back Together - Taylor Swift

Last Taylor Swift one, I promise! I was totally obsessed with this just in time for my holiday to Cyprus last year

5) Drive By - Train

I wasn't even going to include this song in the list, but it started playing as I was writing and IT JUST HAD TO GO IN!!

4) Life Is Beautiful - Vega4

Quite a slow song which no one I ask has heard of (it was used in a scene from the film Street Dance which is how I came across it) which is good for relaxing on the beach to

3) Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepson

My guilty pleasure; I secretly loved this song throughout summer 2012 and was probably the only one who didn't change radio stations whenever it was played

2) Taking Over Me - Lawson

Lawson's songs are often about heartbreak and can have quite sad lyrics but this song is totally different and is very upbeat - perfect for sunny days!

1) Hey, Soul Sister - Train

One of the best songs in existence, I absolutely love this song! Even though I listen to it all year round, it never fails to remind me of a school trip I went on in July 2010 when everyone was totally in love with this song and it was pretty much all we heard for those 2 days.

So that is my countdown of my top 18 summer songs! I hope you're feeling all lovely and summery now and won't be too disappointed when you look out the window and see a grey sky. Let me know what your top summer songs are - or even if any are the same as mine! - as I'm always on the lookout for new songs to add to my ipod, especially at the moment as I haven't been adding anything new recently. Thanks for reading and remember to follow me on bloglovin if you enjoyed this or any of my other posts! (Button in the sidebar)

Ten Little Secrets Tag

Recently, I found out about the '10 little secrets tag' which a few blogs I have follow have written about. I loved the idea of this and also found out a lot about the bloggers I follow and their favourite products, so I thought I'd give it a go myself!

1. Which is one product that makes you feel like a million dollars?

Due to this product's packaging, it probably seems quite surprising that I find it so incredible, however 'aloe Lanzarote' is definitely one of my best buys ever.
In 2011, I went on holiday to Lanzarote, where I saw these 'aloe Lanzarote' products in almost every single shop. Lanzarote is famous for it's aloe vera plants so I guessed that must be why you can't go anywhere without escaping these products. Near the end of my holiday, I decided to try one out and at the time I wasn't expecting it to be great and I'd bought it more as a memory of the holiday instead of a product I thought I'd love.
I'm so glad I bought it though! There were so many to choose from and I bought the 'foot cream' basically because it was the cheapest one in the shop. I could go on forever about how amazing this product is, but I'll just be quick and say that you genuinely only have to use it once on dry skin and the next day, you will notice a huge difference! Even though it's the foot cream, I sometimes use a small amount anywhere else where I have dry skin and it's gone within a day! Aloe Lanzarote is absolutely incredible and I recommend it to everyone! Although some products are quite expensive - this one was the cheapest one I found at 9 euros - it is definately worth it for the amazing quality! I recently found the website here and I am sure to be purchasing more as soon as this one runs out!

~ No7 Cleansing Water, Cleansing Balm and Toner ~

2. What is your skin care secret?

No7 skincare products are probably the best out there and I bought these 3 at a time when I had vouchers which resulted in me only spending £13 on all three instead of £26! Within a week of using them, my skin was completely clear with no spots at all.
Although I'm not particularly prone to spots, I can get quite a few on my forehead and nose at times but these products completely got rid of everything. The cleansing water is aimed at oily skin while the balm is aimed at dry skin so I think they work well together as my skin is quite oily around my nose and chin but my forehead can become quite dry. I try to use these products every night although fail massively because I'm lazy, but every time I do use them I notice a big difference in my skin.

3) What is your hair care secret?

I'm probably the worst person to be giving out hair care advice as I have crazy split ends - I've become too scared to go to the hairdressers now in fear of being incredibly judged or having to have my hair cut really short due to the damage - but I do often get compliments on the length of my hair and people asking how I grew it. My secret to growing long hair though isn't a magic formula that will cause it to grow overnight (although it would be great if they existed!) But no, my secret is basically to not wash your hair.
Of course I don't mean to never wash your hair; just wash it around twice a week and at most 3 times a week. Aside from my terrible split ends, my hair is still in pretty good condition and isn't dry at all. I know some of you feel the need to wash your hair daily, but if you get used to washing it every other day, your hair will learn to become less greasy on the 2nd day and it will be better for your hair.
I guess the reason my hair can often last for so long comes down to when I was younger and I used to absolutely hate washing my hair, so it barely got washed and I think that may be a reason why it can last for days without becoming greasy.

4) What is your diet rule?

Personally I think that if you're going to diet you need to talk to someone professional as dieting can be dangerous and unhealthy and in many cases cause you to not lose much weight at all as people seem to think skipping meals is a good idea - it's not! So I think if you're desperate to lose weight then definitely talk to a doctor or someone professional first and don't believe everything you read on the internet.
Personally, I believe in just eating whatever the hell you want! (Within reason) The idea of a thigh gap and a flat stomach becomes far less appealing when it means swapping nutella pancakes for celery sticks and I don't believe anyone who says they prefer the latter.

5) Workout tips?

I'm one of those freaks who weirdly enjoys going to the gym, but not because I'm an exercising fanatic or am good at it, I just love the feeling afterwards when you leave the gym feeling healthy and like you've achieved something. My rule for the gym is to never leave until I've burnt at least 250 calories. It's not that I count calories in everything I eat and aim to burn them off cause I don't, I just find that if I set this target then I will actually work hard in the gym and it motivates me to run that extra few minutes on the treadmill. Aside from the fact that it's torture at the time, if I didn't have this target for each gym session then I would probably leave having done almost nothing and not feeling great.

6) What perfume is your secret weapon?

Without a doubt, it would have to be Guilty by Gucci. I wear this whenever I go on nights out so the smell always brings back good memories. It's quite a strong smelling perfume as well, so is definitely more of an evening perfume than a day perfume, I believe.

7) An item of clothing that always turns heads?

~ Left ones are mine, Right ones are Taylor's ~
Thinking about it, I don't actually own that many 'night out' kind of clothes so I don't have anything that particularly stands out, although I'd have to say my cream, high-waisted, lacy shorts are probably my most complimented item of clothing.
For daytime wear, I team them with a denim jacket while for evenings I often wear them with a blouse and some jewellery. I bought them from River Island last summer and fangirled like crazy when Taylor Swift's album came out in October and there is a photo of her wearing an extremely similar pair!

8) What is your most treasured piece of jewellery?

My most treasured piece would have to be a silver necklace which I bought from 'Bijou Bridgette' about a year ago. I'd been wanting it for ages but as I was low on money I didn't want to buy it. But I eventually decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did as I wear it pretty much every day! It's a very simple necklace - a plain silver chain with a large 3d heart and it's about ribcage length - but I love that as it means it works with almost any outfit.

9) Who is your style crush?

Wow, I have so many! Taylor Swift is of course my all-time favourite style icon. The dress she wore to the 2012 billboards I thought was amazing and I love her makeup too. I tried to find a dress similar to the one she wore to the Billboards (pictured below) for my school prom which is in a few weeks and I did find some however I decided on a different red dress instead (which you will see in a few weeks after my prom!) I love how Taylor wears high-waisted shorts as well and I'm often influenced to buy outfits after seeing her in them.
I discovered Vanessa Hudgens' festival style on tumblr as pictures of her are constantly plastering my dashboard and I absolutely love everything she wears! Also, I've recently got into the programme 'Made In Chelsea.' I'm nearing the end of series one now and I'm in love with Millie Mackintosh's style! She often wears denim jackets like me, however she wears them in a much more sophisticated way than how I do which has influenced me to start doing the same!
~ Millie Mackintosh, Taylor Swift and Vanessa Hudgens (pictures from Google) ~

10) Tell us something we don't know about you?

As I'm quite new to blogging, I guess there's still quite a lot that you may not know about me; but the main thing I'm suprised I haven't mentioned yet is my love for cats - especially my own! All my friends joke that I'm going to become a 'crazy cat woman' like the one from The Simpsons just because I love cats so much! I'm lucky enough to own two who are siblings called Maisie and Fred. I could go on for hours about them and how perfect they are and I may end up doing a separate blog post about them at some point.
I'm like those annoying parents who think their children are better than everyone else - but the cat version! I just think my cats are perfect and amazing and beautiful ok!

~ My two beautiful cats ~
I've tried my hardest not to waffle on about everything as I tend to do that quite a lot..But I hope you've enjoyed reading and I tag all my followers to do the same! I'd love to read yours, so let me know if you've done this tag too and leave a link in the comments! The links to my twitter and tumblr are below and remember to follow me on Bloglovin if you enjoyed reading my blog! (Button to do so is in the sidebar)

My Summer Favourites!

~ The Summertime Ball 2013 ~
Last week, the UK was lucky enough to experience a week long heatwave (that's long for us ok!) Even though the sunny weather is over now and we're back to the wind and the rain, the short burst of warm weather reminded me of everything I love about summer. So other than the beautiful weather, being able to explore the great outdoors and of course, eating ice cream, these are my personal 'summer favourites' of 2013!

For two years in a row now, I've been lucky enough to go to Capital FM's 'Summertime Ball' (previous blog post is all about it) and lets just say, I'm already saving up for next year! I thoroughly enjoyed it both times I went and still feeling teary eyed after seeing Taylor Swift live - one of the best moments of my life!! Not forgetting the moment when Nathan Sykes (of The Wanted) came out from the stage and did the most epic comeback after months off, following his throat surgery - I don't think I'm ever gonna stop fangirling!

~ River Island - £2.00 ~

Another thing I love about the summer is the flowers, especially daisies which I believe are the prettiest flowers in existence.  When I found these daisy earrings, I picked them up and ran straight to the till to buy them and I've barely taken them out since! I've seen them in a few other shops as well as River Island such as Accessorize but these are by far the best ones I've seen!

~ Superdrug - £2.49 ~
As I wrote about in a previous post, being as pale as I am in summer is not fun, so I've been using Garnier's summerbody lotion for the past 2 summers, just on my arms and legs. I find it so easy to apply and it lasts for ages too, which is great cause I'd be too lazy to keep on reapplying. I've never tried any other tanning moisturiser so I can't really compare, but I do love this product and I've repurchased it a few times.
You can choose between a lighter or darker version and I've tried both, however I definately prefer the darker one just because you only need one or two layers to turn white skin to the attractive brown shade whereas the lighter version requires quite a few layers. Although the smell of the lotion isn't exactly repulsive, it's not particularly enthralling either. But putting up with the slightly biscuity smell is worth it for the non-streaky, light brown colour your skin turns in a matter of hours!

~ Schuh - £44.99 ~
~ Superdrug - £4.09 ~

~ TU (Sainsburys) - £3.50 ~

~ Gilly Hicks - £10 ~
I know you're probably thinking 'Mint green? But that's a spring colour!' I agree that it is popular in spring, but seeing as we barely had a spring in the UK this year, mint green has become my favourite summer colour too!
I've become totally obsessed with this colour recently and am constantly looking for new mint green products I can buy. Converse and nail varnish are my favourites so far!
Another product which recently caught my eye was this 'Apple Blossom and Lotus Room Spray.' Something about the smell just reminds me of summer, so my bedroom now constantly has a summery aroma about it, which I love!

Similarly to the tanning moisturiser, another product which I am using for the 3rd summer in a row is Gilly Hicks' Apple Orchid body lotion. My extensive love for this product has caused me to keep on buying; it smells amazing and leaves your skin well moisturised - perfect! They also sell a body spray in this delightful scent which I recently purchased, although the body lotion will forever be my favourite!
I also buy many of my summer clothes from Gilly Hicks and it's American partner, Hollister, as the clothes are always so summery!
Even though the chains owned by A&F have a bad reputation - the non-existent lighting, the booming music and the overpriced clothes - I really love the summer vibes these shops have. I also love the fact that they are so different to all other fashion retailers. Even if you can't afford to buy anything from there, it's still worth peeking inside just because of how amazing the shops smell! They are sprayed with the very distinct A&F aroma and everything inside contains the strong scent too. Although the smell is wonderful, it still doesn't compare to the Apple Orchid body lotion which is definately worth the money and will continue to be my summer must-have for years to come!

~ MOTO (Topshop) - £28 ~

As well as Gilly Hicks and Hollister, I also like to buy my summer clothes from my usual favourite shop, which - much like every other British teenage girl - is of course Topshop! After getting a lot of wear out of a pair of Topshop's 'MOTO' shorts I bought last year, as soon as the heatwave hit, I was on my way to Topshop in search of some more. I picked up these shorts which were £28 (cheap for Topshop!) and even though I haven't had them long, they've already been worn a lot and are definately my favourite summer clothing item of 2013!

Lastly but by no means leastly, the final of my summer necessities is anklets. I've always loved anklets because unlike necklaces and bracelets, they don't get in your way. Theres never much point in wearing them in the cold months though as they won't be seen, so I always look forward to summer when they can finally be worn! I usually buy them from markets when I go on holiday and the two pictured below are from Lanzarote and Barcelona. My anklet collection is quickly growing but these two are my current favourites.
~ Bought from markets abroad - (usually around £2 each) ~

Although everything I have spoken about are not vital items - sun cream, water etc - they are things which remind me of summer and I enjoy about summer year after year. So let me know what your 'summer favourites' are; anything similar to mine or anything completely different? Theres probably things I've completely forgotten about, so comment letting me know about what makes your summer enjoyable!

My Summertime Ball Experience

~ Me, Jessie and Leana outside Wembley stadium ~
This time last year I was preparing myself for the Summertime Ball and if you don't know what that is then WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!!
It's basically a day long concert that takes place at Wembley Stadium each year hosted by Capital FM.
Many different popular acts appear and last year I was lucky enough to see the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Wanted, Katy Perry, Lawson, Coldplay and Justin Bieber (although not so lucky to be seeing Pitbull - he looks more like a criminal than a pop artist!)
I went with 2 of my friends, Leana and Jessie, although it seemed like a popular family event too as we were surrounded by families. I'd rather go with my friends though - parents never seem to get into concerts as much as teenagers do, or maybe that was just the ones seated near me!
Although I loved the Summertime Ball in 2012, I wasn't planning on going again this year due to the ticket prices which range from around £50-£300?! However, when the 2013 line-up was announced, I found out Taylor Swift was going to be there to which I texted my mum something along the lines of 'TAYLOR SWIFT IS AT THE SUMMERTIME BALL AND I'M NOT GOING :(((' And my mum, after seeing me cry so many times over not being able to go to Taylor Swift's tour, replied with 'OMG! I'll check out tickets for you' So I spent my maths lesson sneakily texting my mum from under the table and guiding her through the ticket buying process. It was extremely stressful but I can now very happily say that I'M GOING TO SEE TAYLOR SWIFT LIVE!!!!

Where to sit?!

Being the cheapskates we are, we went for the cheapest tickets we could find last year which were £55 each and I sat in Block 527, Row 42, Seat 12 (is it sad that I can still remember that without checking?) The picture below was the view from my seat and although it looks like you can't see the stage very well, you definitely could! The rows go up to 45 so we were nearly right at the top however the only disadvantage of this was the stairs. They are an absolute killer! But despite the stairs, we were all very pleased with where we sat
Even though we vowed we'd spend the £85 required to be on level 1 seating next time, as we were slightly late in buying the tickets there were no level 1 seats left. But this time the level 5 tickets were £50 and we're going to be quite a bit closer to the stage! We'll be in block 528 which is one block closer to the stage than last year and in row 28, seats 38 and 39. (Yes I've memorised these seats as well). Although I have no experience of sitting on level 1 I personally believe level 5 is still amazing and from there you still have a good view and still feel the crazy atmosphere (especially when Justin Bieber's on stage...)

 Where to eat?!

My advice for this is to eat a very big breakfast as there won't be much time for eating after that! Before going into the stadium, we first went into the crowded McDonalds next to it where we queued for 40 minutes as it was packed with hundreds of other people attending the Summertime Ball. Definately worth it though; you can't beat McDonalds chips!
My other advice for food is to take some of your own snacks with you. But be careful - they check your bags. I hid our sausage roll stash and 2 bottles of water in a pair of jeans I had in my bag to change into after the concert (it would be cold at 10pm!) They checked my bag but didn't find these, so we ate sausage rolls all throughout the concert.
They have food to buy in the stadiums but the queues were long and the food was expensive, so I'll definitely be bringing my own again this year.

Grumpy Men?!

Believe it or not, even in a stadium full of teenagers and boybands, you still get grumpy men trying to ruin it for you! Of course, out of everywhere they could be sitting it had to be right behind us.
Coldplay was the first act on and only a few people in our area were standing up and really getting into it, so we decided to join them. At this point, the 3 middle aged men began tapping us on the shoulder very violently and shouting that we were in their way and that we
were ruining it for them. We then missed half of Coldplay's performance by arguing with them that 'this is a concert, you're supposed to stand up!'
They didn't seem to understand the concept of a concert though and complained to the staff that we were blocking their view. But to their disappointment, the staff came back saying we were allowed to stand and cheer throughout the concert, so we and everyone else around us who also got out their seats had a good time while they sat there mumbling about how they were unlucky to be sat behind 'the noisest girls at the concert.' I actually feel quite proud that we were given that title.

 Take a good camera!

In the knowledge that it was going to be a very long concert, I took two camera batteries with me which I'm very glad I did as I managed to completely drain both batteries! As I was sitting so high up I took a camera with a good zoom and only a few of these pictures have been cropped. This picture of The Wanted and the Justin Bieber picture further down haven't and I'm very happy that I took a camera with such a good zoom so I could take close up pictures.

So theres only a few days left until this years Summertime Ball! Have you been before or planning to go this year? Who are you looking most forward to seeing?
